Equipment Room Structural Upgrade
This was an equipment room on the upper floor of a building. Over time, new equipment had been added to this room, creating an overstress that cracked the joist under a battery rack. Engineering was performed identifying the upgrades that were needed.
Following the unloading of the room, the equipment room was strenghtened, new joists and supporting beams added to allow the building to support the loads. Precautions were also implemented to ensure that all loads are verified going forward.
